Yashwant Hampiholi hails from a family with a rich musical background and is the son of renowned Bharatanatyam performer and Guru Dr. Smt. Kishoree and Shri Kishor Hampiholi. Born on 22 February 1998, Yashwant gave his first solo Mridangam performance at the prestigious ‘Bal Mahotsav’ 2008 conducted by the South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCCC) under the Ministry of Culture, New Delhi. A disciple of Dr. Patri Satish Kumar, Yashwant began learning Mridangam at the age of 6 from Shri I.V. Renuka Prasad, Hyderabad, and later trained under Shri Karaikudi Shriram, Chennai. For the past nine years, he has been under the tutelage of the living legend and Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee Dr. Patri Satish Kumar. Yashwant is a CCRT Scholarship holder and is pursuing an MA in Rhythmology at Madras University. His achievements include performances across Europe and at prestigious venues in India like the Madras Music Academy, NMACC, and Krishna Gana Sabha, among others. Yashwant’s artistry reflects his dedication and mastery of the Mridangam.
Prudhvi Gali is a Carnatic music enthusiast from Hyderabad with over 15 years of training. He is currently a disciple of the esteemed Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee Sri. D. Raghavachary, renowned as one half of the legendary Hyderabad Brothers. Since moving to the Netherlands in 2018 to pursue higher education, his learning journey in music has slowed, but his passion and reverence for Carnatic music have only deepened. This passion led him to establish *Sound of Carnatic*, an initiative to connect with talented Carnatic artists and host their performances in the Netherlands. Through this platform, Prudhvi takes immense joy in sharing the rich and intricate tradition of India’s classical music with a broader audience, nurturing a community that celebrates and cherishes this art form.
